總是憑時尚造型驚豔紅地毯的同志男星 Billy Porter，前年憑美劇《紐約萬花筒》(Pose) 勇奪艾美獎視帝，劇中飾演一名 HIV 患者 Pray Tell，近日透過在 《The Holloywood Reporter 》的訪問公開承認自己是 HIV 病毒帶原者，並在早在14年前就已確診。
Billy Porter 表示：「14年來我一直沉默著，因恐怕被邊緣化，以及怕被影視行業的人歧視，因我一向不被友善對待。我現在己 51歲，近年因我的才華和真實，培育了一群熱愛我的粉絲。透過劇集《Pose》，當中我飾演一名HIV帶菌者 Pray Tell，我可以透過角色來說我想說的事。」
