Beyond his role as leader of global K-pop sensation SEVENTEEN, S.Coups is slowly finding himself in a new position: at the forefront of fashion. This April, the 29-year-old star was appointed new global ambassador of BOSS, and earlier this week, made his Met Gala debut in a custom look by the German luxury label.
Those who know S.Coups know his taste in fashion is rather understated. His wardrobe is built around “cool boyfriend” staples: oversized hoodies, plain tees, and some kind of hat or beanie. But much like his approach to leadership, S.Coups embodies a quiet confidence that guides, in this case, all of his sartorial choices. While less seems to be more for this Daegu native, there’s no denying that it is his inherent charisma that turns even the simplest of outfits into potent expressions of unique style.
All that being said, S.Coups is, like many popstars of today, remarkably versatile. Don’t let his ultra-casual closet fool you—here are seven times the SEVENTEEN leader proved he is a man of fashion.

S.Coups’ Met Gala look was more than a fashion statement—it was a cultural one. The all-grey ensemble nodded to the star’s Korean heritage with a suit jacket inspired by the asymmetrical wrap closure of the jeogori, a traditional Korean garment. With the help of a pleated floor-length coat and matching platinum grey hair to tie it all together, S.Coups swept across the Met Gala floors with a sense of majesty and purpose.

You know what they say about rules, you’ve got to know them to break them! S.Coups certainly knows a thing or two about how to make clashing prints work. He left a bold impression during SEVENTEEN’s historic set at the Tecate Pa’l Norte festival in Mexico, styling a leopard print cardigan with a plaid grommet belt half-skirt.

What’s one way to make an entrance? With hair dyed to match your outfit. S.Coups turned heads at Loewe’s Spring/Summer 2025 show last year when he stepped out with freshly dyed hair. Nothing new for a K-pop star–except the blue-black shade was a perfect match for his navy blazer. Genius.

This is what you call a look for the history books. Not many can pull off bright red hair, let alone red hair with a purple suit. At SEVENTEEN’s Follow Again concert in Incheon, S.Coups stepped out to perform the group’s song “Monster” in a look he later confirmed was inspired by the Joker.

While S.Coups typically keeps it simple when it comes to jewellery and other accessories, the SEVENTEEN rapper has rocked a plethora of different eyewear silhouettes throughout the years. Last year, he hopped onto the geek-chic rimless glasses bandwagon with this optical gold-plated pair from Chrome Hearts—one of his favourite brands.

No ruptured ACL is going to stop S.Coups from serving a look. Despite still recovering from a knee injury at the time, the K-pop star went all out to film his portion of SEVENTEEN’s “God of Music” music video. Flaunting pastel pink hair and a cropped jacket adorned with every bedazzled brooch to ever exist, S.Coups sat on the edge of a hospital bed and partied like his life depended on it.

Who would’ve thought we’d see S.Coups in Cecilie Bahnsen, a brand synonymous with the tastes of today’s cool-girl fashion enthusiasts? Nonetheless, the SEVENTEEN leader was spotted at the group’s ‘Right Here’ concert in Goyang wearing the brand’s brown Olga jacket complete with bow ties and floral embroidery. Men, this is your reminder to always check the women’s section too!
