When Aquazzura calls, you answer! I have been friends with the divine Edgardo, founder and creative director of Aquazzura, for over twenty years and have been a massive supporter of the brand for both myself and my clients. In my eyes, there is no better designer. So, when word got out that they were doing a capsule collection with Mytheresa, I was there!
Upon arriving in Rome, it was time to change and get ready for the main event: a dinner party at Cinecittà hosted by Edgardo Osorio and Michael Kliger, CEO of Mytheresa. But knowing Edgardo, this wasn’t just going to be a casual dinner party—there is always a supercharged creative flair attached to it. Dinner was held beneath the grand colonnades of an ancient Roman temple, reimagined through the lens of the empire of cinema. Breathtaking is an understatement!

My long-time friend and fashion powerhouse, Tiffany Hsu, was my dinner date for the evening. We’ve known each other for years, and it’s always lovely to catch up with her. Other guests included the stunning Diane Kruger, Stella Maxwell, Tamara Kalinić, and many others—all wearing the Aquazzura x Mytheresa shoes. The collection features sleek mules, knotted sandals, and crystal-embellished pumps in a colour palette that transitions seamlessly from vivid emerald greens to soft blush pinks. We dined on the new Aquazzura Casa table setting, “Riviera,” cascading with pink peonies and vibrant red corals under candlelight and the stars—a night to remember! Another stunning and theatrical production was the “rainbow meadow” of 300 pairs of Aquazzura shoes, including a pair of his infamous heels transformed into roller skates!
As night fell, a live DJ set turned the historic setting into a full-blown dance floor, transforming the legendary backdrop into a vibrant scene straight out of a Fellini movie. We danced until we couldn’t dance anymore!
The following day, the celebrations continued as guests were invited to a sunlit brunch at the newly opened Aquazzura Bar in the midst of the enchanting garden of the Hotel de Russie—the final note to a Roman story of style, colour, and imagination.
